Hope Street: One of Our Own

A Hope Street Film – 1 x 90 BBC + BritBox with support from Northern Ireland Screen

Hope Street: One of Our Own

As the film opens, Port Devine is rocked by a violent crime.  When popular barmaid Brandi is assaulted in broad daylight, it’s up to Detective Constable Callum to crack the case.  Callum soon identifies newly-arrived outsider Anna as prime suspect – which is awkward because she’s dating his mentor Sergeant Marlene.  When Anna steals a car and goes on the run, it seems like an open and shut case – and Marlene is heartbroken – but maybe the true culprit is much closer to home…

One Of Our Own: A Hope Street Film written by Paul Marquess is a spin-off from popular returning drama Hope Street co-created by Susanne Farrell and Paul Marquess. It was co-commission by BBC Northern Ireland, BBC Daytime and BritBox and made with support from Northern Ireland Screen.  The film had it’s theatrical release in cinemas across Northern Ireland in September and October 2026, with further cinematic releases in Ireland and the UK.   It will also air on BBC One Northern Ireland and BBC Daytime later this autumn.
